剧院 has the power to illuminate the most essential aspects of our humanity, creating moments of magic that transcend everyday reality. 在 Department of 剧院 at Bridgewater State University, we spend our days making the impossible possible – using sets, 服装, 灯, 音乐, 声音, and our own voices and bodies to create new worlds. Our programs in 剧院 艺术 and 剧院 Education combine practical instruction with rigorous study of history, theory and criticism to provide a holistic liberal arts education.
BSU faculty members are veteran theatre professionals with extensive experience both on stage and behind the scenes. Our department mounts four productions each academic year, ranging from new works to timeless classics. 剧院 graduates have gone on to rewarding professional careers in New York, 芝加哥, Boston and other major cities, and have become dedicated teachers and instructors whose enthusiasm and expertise help spread the value of theatre to new audiences.
